Although we try and offer a varied and interesting programme at 1st Locksheath, we know that for many of you, you will undertake activities outside of Scouting which could help earn a badge. This is usually something with school or another club. Regrettably, these activities must be signed off by a qualified professional, or otherwise evidenced. If in doubt, please ask your leaders before discussing this with your Young Person.
If you think your activity is relevant to Scouting, please use the forms below to send us details. We can take the form, and supporting evidence on paper, electronically by email, or a combination of both!
Activities which are likely to get badges will usually (but not always) fall in to these categories:
- Adventurous (eg, camping, walking, outdoors etc)
- Creative (eg Craft, Making, building, musical etc)
- Sporting (eg, trying a new sport, eg watersports, winter sports, team or individual sports etc)
- New or Existing Hobbies (Interests or activities which last 6 or more weeks)
- Gardening or Pet Care.
If in doubt, please either talk to the leaders. We will try and find something to sign it off for, or ask for more/different evidence if it doesn’t quite fit. IF you think that you need a form for a different badge, please email [email protected] and we will create one for you.
